Time Warner, Inc. announced today an exclusive one-year sales and marketing agreement with Cyberian Outpost, Inc., a deal that comes on the heels of news yesterday that the media giant plans to make its presence felt in the electronic commerce market.

Under the agreement, Cyberian Outpost becomes the exclusive computer
hardware, software and peripheral retailer within several Pathfinder Network sites. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In addition, Cyberian Outpost will feature banner advertisements and links on Pathfinder sites including Money Online, Money Daily, Fortune Online, Your Company Online, People
Online
, and Entertainment Weekly Online.

Cyberian Outpost said it will pay monthly fees for a guaranteed minimum number of impressions from Pathfinder.

“This partnership is a great opportunity for Cyberian Outpost to build its
brand on one of the Internet’s leading news, information, and
entertainment sites and acquire new customers,” said Darryl Peck, President
and CEO of Cyberian Outpost in announcing this
agreement.

“We’re convinced that good
journalism helps build a compelling environment for online commerce as we
create online destinations where readers can read,
see and buy based on news and information, reviews and analysis that is
definitive, unbiased, and independent,” said Christin Shanahan, Time Inc.
New Media’s Director of Commerce.

Yesterday, Time Warner announced plans to start selling its own branded videos, books, and clothing products online within the next six to 12 months.
