Seattle-based FreeShop.com Inc. established a partnership with GeoCities,
making FreeShop one of four exclusive commerce partners integrated throughout
the GeoCities homepage and providing GeoCities’ members with targeted
marketing offers.

FreeShop will market interest-category
targeted special offers–such as free magazine trial subscriptions–to GeoCities’ members. Financial arrangements
were not disclosed.

Through the combination of prime exclusive positioning and other
communications with
GeoCities members, FreeShop said it will receive an additional 80+ million
impressions per month. As part of the deal, starting in April, FreeShop plans
to target five different promotions to GeoCities members.

FreeShop.com is a source for free and trial offers and features a shopping
assistant search engine and a savings club with more than 500,000
products at up to 60 percent off manufacturer suggested list prices.
