Software reseller GlobalTech Solutions Inc. announced the availability of the Actinic Catalog e-Commerce Software 2.0 in the United States.

Developed by the British company Actinic Software Ltd., using 128 bit
encryption technology, the Actinic Catalog software is designed to enable
any business to
start selling on-line within minutes, GlobalTech said. The $399 package
includes catalog creation, shopping cart, secure encrypted transmissions
and order processing.

“Actinic Catalog is the first e-commerce package to break down the two major
barriers keeping small businesses from selling on the Internet; cost and
complexity,” said Chris Barling, managing director of Actinic Software. “There
are no service charges, and firms can even use their existing credit card
processing service to process the orders instead of signing up for another
credit card processing service on the Internet.”

The self-installing 128-bit encrypted Actinic Catalog software allows
merchants to create and manage an online store themselves with only a Web site
and dial-up connection to their ISP, the company said.
The vendor can be notified by e-mail when orders have been received, and they
can be downloaded to the vendor’s desktop with all of the necessary
information including
validated credit card numbers. Invoices can be printed along with credit card
information.

Actinic Catalog 2.0 can be purchased in the U.S. from GlobalTech Solutions, Inc. or from various mail order catalogs. In Europe and elsewhere it can be purchased directly from Actinic Software Ltd.
