Soon-to-launch party supplies retailer GreatEntertaining.com signed a
three-year, $10.1 million e-commerce agreement with America Online.
GreatEntertaining.com’s entertaining and party supplies will be available
through an anchor placement in the Tabletop and Entertaining departments of
the Shop@AOL, AOL.com, CompuServe and Netscape online shopping destinations.
The agreement also includes online and off-line cross promotional opportunities.
GreatEntertaining.com plans to launch the site in October, in time for
Halloween, holiday and millennium party planning.
GreatEntertaining.com, backed by Benchmark Capital, is a one-stop shop for
entertaining ideas and party supplies online.
