Inktomi Signs Clients for Its Shopping Engine

Inktomi Corp.
said it has signed agreements extending the Inktomi Shopping Engine’s
coverage to include five new portal and destination sites, more than 350
merchants, and more than two million products.

The company said it now has agreements with 20 portal and destination sites
to provide the underlying infrastructure for their online shopping offerings.

New partners include: FreeServers, FreeYellow.Com, Global DataTel (GDIS),
NetGift Registry and Time Inc. New Media.

Existing partnerships are with Infoseek, operator of GO Network; CNET and
NBC’s Snap, and CNNfn, among others.

Merchant partners include: 800.com, Art.com, BabyCenter, barnesandnoble.com,
bedandbath.com, Beyond.com, Bluefly, The Bombay Company, BrainPlay.com, The
Company Store, CyberShop, Domestications, Egghead.com, Fogdog Sports, Fossil,
Gear.com, GreatFood.com, Gump’s, Improvements Catalog, International Male,
Kitchen
and Home, MotherNature.com, Muzic Depot, NECX, Outpost.com, PC Flowers and
Gifts, ProFlowers, Reel.com and Sports Superstore Online, among others.

The Inktomi Shopping Engine delivers an online shopping platform integrated
with powerful Web searching technology, and is designed to scale with the
growth of users and products on the Internet. Also included are product,
feature and price comparison shopping; content and recommendations from
trusted brands such as Consumers Digest; and Universal Order Processing–shoppers only have to enter their data once.
