Internet Travel Network Signs Two Deals

Internet Travel Network (ITN) in Palo Alto, CA announced this week alliances with CMPnet’s NetGuide and CitySearch to provide real-time travel information and booking capabilities to users.

Financial details of the deals were not disclosed.

The ITN system will provide NetGuide and CitySearch users with real-time access to 500 domestic and international airlines, 50 car rental companies, and 33,000 hotel properties over the Internet.

“We wanted to offer our users a direct booking option along with the travel
destination information we already provide,” said Mitchell York, vice
president of product development at CMPnet.

Under its partnership with CitySearch, ITN said it will combine CitySearch’s local community guides with its online booking services. CitySearch visitors seeking comprehensive, community-based news and information for the arts, entertainment, and other events can now plan and book complete travel arrangements online.

Pasadena, CA-based CitySearch will integrate the ITN booking engine in all
seven of its domestic city sites–Austin, Nashville, New York City, Raleigh-Durham, Portland, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco.
