iVillagemade several additions to its senior management team, including the appointment of John W. Glascott as senior vice president of sponsorship.
Craig T. Monaghan joins as chief financial officer; Ronald J. Kos was named
senior vice president of marketing and operations; and Allison Abraham was
named senior vice president of commerce.
“We are very confident that their collective expertise in finance, sales, consumer marketing, and e-commerce will strengthen the foundation of iVillage and maximize the value of our flagship property, the leading interactive brand for women,” said Candice Carpenter, iVillage CEO.
Glascott will be responsible for all sponsorship and advertising revenue. He
had been senior vice president and director of corporate marketing and sales
for Hearst Magazines.
As CFO at iVillage, Monaghan will be responsible for all financial aspects of the company. Monaghan comes to iVillage after seven years at Reader’s Digest Association Inc., where he held a number of positions including vice president and treasurer of Reader’s Digest.
Kos comes to iVillage with over 15 years of consumer products marketing
experience. As senior vice president of marketing and operations, Kos will be
responsible for iVillage’s consumer marketing as well as internal operations.
His entrepreneurial background includes the founding of Signal Ridge Group, a
national consulting practice that specialized in strategic marketing, new
products and business development.
As senior vice president of commerce, Abraham will direct iVillage’s e-
commerce initiatives, including the Shopping channel on iVillage.com: The
Women’s Network, and
further develop iVillage’s long-term e-commerce model.
Abraham joins iVillage from OnCart, a provider of grocery shopping and
delivery services on the Internet. There, she served in the capacity of
president, chief operating officer, and member of the board of directors for
the venture.
