Keynote Expands Measuring Infrastructure

Internet service quality measurement firm Keynote Systems expanded its infrastructure
of local and regional measurement computers to 120 locations in 50
metropolitan areas around the world.

The company said it now can collect up to 100 million performance and
availability measurements per day.

The expansion increases the ability of the Keynote Perspective service to
provide customers with accurate data and analysis of Web site quality of
service as experienced by users around the world across all the major
Internet access providers and access methods.

Keynote currently collect and store over 12 million measurements each day
from 220 measurement computers connected to the Internet in over 90
measurement locations.

The Keynote Perspective service measures web-page access and transaction
times for more than 500 e-commerce companies.

The Keynote Perspective service profiles the complete user experience of
executing interactive multi-page transactions, such as buying merchandise or
making a travel reservation, and downloading content, including graphics and
banner ads.
