Kozmo.com’s home delivery service headed
for the sun Tuesday with the rollout of operations in Southern California.

The popular Web-based delivery service is now available to customers in the
San Fernando Valley, West Los Angeles, Hollywood and Pasadena, with plans to
roll out into South Bay soon. Regional businesses California Pizza Kitchen
and Mani’s Bakery Cafe have partnered with the company to provide their
products, in addition to the food, health and beauty products, and video
rentals that have been Kozmo’s staples.

Kozmo.com, which started in New York, has already expanded to Boston,
Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Seattle with a wide selection of
entertainment and convenience products.

Tuesday’s launch in Los Angeles is a perfect fit with kozmo.com’s expansion
strategy, said Joseph Park, kozmo.com co-founder and chief executive
officer.

“As the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles was a natural choice
as the next step
in our development,” said Park. “In a city where residents spend so much of
their time working and commuting, kozmo.com provides a lifestyle solution
for time-pressed customers. We
deliver competitively-priced food, entertainment and convenience items
directly to the home or office in rapid speed.”
