New Alliance in the B2B Space

E-business applications providers InterWorld Corp. and Online
Retail Partners Inc. (ORP ) are teaming up to deliver end-to-end e-commerce
solutions and services across a range of industries.

InterWorld provides software solutions for sell-side e-commerce, and ORP
provides integrated management and technology resources for building online
businesses.

The companies said they will jointly develop an ASP offering to target
mid-size companies in the B2B supply chain, especially in the manufacturing
and distribution business sectors.

The companies will combine InterWorld’s pre-packaged Commerce Exchange
Business Suite with ORP’s technology resources, creating a solution to help
B2B customers accelerate their e-commerce operations and cost savings.

And both companies will work together as preferred partners in advancing
service delivery, including Web site design, business services, system
integration, site management and J2EE development. The alliance will also
include joint advertising and direct marketing efforts. Financial
arrangements were not disclosed.

services with InterWorld’s Commerce Exchange Business suite, optimized for
rapid development and flexibility, into one seamless solution from start to
finish,” said Jeremy Davis, president and CEO of InterWorld.
