New Small-Business Web Site Hosting Service Launched

Nov 16, 1998

NetEndeavors
Inc.

launched its “Find Us On The Net”
service allowing small business owner to create and maintain their own free
commercial Web presence via the company’s secure Create-A-Site HTML forms-
based interface.

Small business owners can create and modify their Web site with little or no
prior knowledge of HTML, the company said. Premium services, such as promotion
and additional space, are being offered as well. NetEndeavors Inc. will
register and host domain names redirected to any free “Find Us On The Net” Web
site at an annual charge of $120. This fee includes InterNIC-related domain
name registration fees.

“Find Us On The Net provides a unique opportunity for the small business
owner to create a
Web presence for themselves,” said David Barnes, president and founder of
NetEndeavors Inc. “We wanted to provide a means for small business to get
on the Web without incurring the costs/contracts currently associated with
such a venture. To that end, our
service allows the small business owner to ‘get their feet wet’ before diving
in.”

Upcoming offerings include free CyberCash enabled e-commerce services, the
company said. Interested small business owners will be able to obtain their
own CyberCash-enabled Merchant ID from the financial institution of their
choice.

The small business owner will then list their products for sale and provide
such customized items such as what state(s) they wish to charge sales tax in,
how they wish to ship and how to compute shipping charges. In the short term,
the company said it will create and maintain stores for clients. Beginning in
February 1999, the small business owner will be able to maintain their store
themselves.

NetEndeavors will append a 3 percent “handling” charge to all transactions,
which
will be contained in the total charges billed to the retail consumer’s credit
card. NetEndeavors will then invoice the merchant on a quarterly basis for
these accrued “handling” charges. As a result, a small business owner loses
nothing if they sell no products online, the company said.
