Personify Signs Four Commerce Sites

San Francisco-based Personify Inc., a provider of interactive
marketing software and services, said that BabyCenter, chipshot.com, Fogdog
Sports, and apartment finder site SpringStreet have signed as customers.

By collecting behavioral data about users from multiple sources, Personify
software uncovers distinct audience segments that can be used to help
marketers determine the most effective action for reaching their target
audiences. This allows retailers to optimize advertising campaigns,
promotions, merchandising opportunities, site design and content.

“Imagine if 97 out of 100 people walked into Safeway and left empty handed!”
said Eileen Gittins, CEO of Personify.

“This is what many Web retailers are
experiencing daily. The typical e-commerce site converts less than 3 percent of
their visitors into customers. Personify helps gain valuable insight into how
people are actually behaving. . .and enables the marketer to take informed
action – run an ad or e-mail campaign, present a special offer or change site
content.”

BabyCenter.com is a Web site devoted to
providing new and expectant parents with information and products.
chipshot.com is a direct retailer of
custom-built golf equipment.
Fogdog Sports is a source for buying
virtually any sports or outdoor products.
Spring Street is a personalized
dwelling search service.
