PETsMART.com, Big Dogs Sign Partnership Deal

Pet supply e-tailer PETsMART.com Inc. signed an exclusive
partnership with Big Dog
Holdings Inc.
, a developer and retailer of branded, lifestyle consumer
products, to co-market and co-promote each other’s products and services.

As part of the agreement, each company has taken an unspecified equity
interest in the other to further solidify the alliance.

PETsMART.com and Big Dog said they will enjoy cooperative marketing efforts
including advertising, direct mailings and sponsorship on each other’s Web
sites.

Big Dogs will promote PETsMART.com in each of its 182 retail stores
nationwide, in several million Big Dogs catalogs, directly to its Big Dog
Club membership and to its Internet site users.

In exchange, PETsMART.com will host the Big Dog Boutique on its site,
featuring more than 10,000 items of Big Dogs merchandise along with Big Dogs
content.

PETsMART.com will also market Big Dog Merchandise and contribute to
the expansion of the Big Dogs brand through its online and off-line
advertising efforts.

“PETsMART.com clearly has the brand, assets and customer franchise to lead
the Internet pet space,” said Andrew Feshbach, Big Dog’s CEO.

“Aligning with
PETsMART.com provides our customers with the Internet’s largest assortment of
everyday pet supplies, world-class customer service support combined with
top-notch pet care advice.”
