Emeryville, CA-based Petstore.com, an online retailer of pet
supplies, signed an ad agreement with Yahoo! Inc. that will put banner and button
advertisements in Yahoo!’s community properties, Yahoo! Treasure Hunt and on
Yahoo!’s front page.

In addition, Petstore.com messages are scheduled to be featured in two of
Yahoo!’s e-mail-based promotions. Spending was not disclosed.

“This agreement is designed to build
a stronger brand presence for Petstore.com across the Web, while furthering
our marketing objectives of customer acquisition and retention,” said Josh Newman, CEO of Petstore.com.

The banner ads will focus on the simplicity and convenience of home delivery
via UPS.

Petstore.com markets basic food and supplies, toys, treats and beds for pets
ranging from dogs and cats to rabbits and reptiles.
