PETsMART.com Signs Placement Deal With AOL

Pet care product marketer Petsmart.com signed a placement deal with
America Online to
sell pet food and merchandise through Shop@AOL.

PETsMART.com will receive anchor positions in the Pet Supplies and Pet
Accessories
departments. Spending was not disclosed.

PETsMART.com is a venture involving real world store operator PETsMART Inc.
and idealab!, an Internet incubator of such
companies as eToys and GoTo.com.

“With over 17 million members and established leadership in cyberspace, AOL
is clearly a powerful partner for PETsMART.com, enabling us to further expand
our brand,” said Tom McGovern, CEO and president.
