Siebel, Hyperion Teaming Up

Siebel Systems Inc. signed an alliance deal to integrate its
e-business applications software with the business analysis software of
Hyperion .


The joint effort will deliver an integrated suite of e-business analytic
applications, the companies said. Hyperion intends to integrate its suite of
packaged e-CRM analysis applications and its Hyperion Essbase OLAP (online
analytical processing) Server with a variety of Siebel’s e-business
applications.


The companies also said they will engage in joint marketing and sales
programs. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.


The combined solution will provide users with a 360-degree view of their
customers across all channels of distribution, the companies said.


Under the alliance, Hyperion intends to integrate Siebel Sales, Siebel Field
Service, Siebel Call Center and Siebel Marketing with Hyperion Essbase as
well as Hyperion’s
suite of packaged eCRM analysis applications including Hyperion Customer
Interaction Center and Hyperion Web Site Analysis Suite.


“Together, Siebel Systems and Hyperion offer a … solution that allows our
mutual customers to dramatically improve the effectiveness of their customer
marketing, sales and service programs,” said Daniel Lackner, vice president
and general manager of Marketing Automation Products at Siebel Systems.
