Spree.com Signs on for Broadcast.com Sports Channel

Spree.com signed an agreement with broadcast.com to become the exclusive PGA Tour e-commerce partner on the broadcast.com Sports Channel.


Spree.com will promote PGA Tour merchandise and the Spree Independent Partner
Program through banners, buttons, audio and video gateways ads and sponsorship
of broadcast.com’s e-mail newsletters, which are sent to hundreds of thousands
of recipients weekly. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.


“As the exclusive Internet broadcast provider for PGA Tour events,
broadcast.com is the perfect place for Spree.com to promote their
marketplace,” said Mark Cuban, president of broadcast.com. “Visitors to our
Sports Channel will be able to listen to and watch their favorite sports
programming, and then will be able to buy PGA TOUR apparel and merchandise
through Spree.com.”


“We are building an e-commerce network,” said Michael Dell’Arciprete, director
of marketing for Spree.com. “. . .broadcast.com will expand our reach
tremendously. We have been advertising Spree.com’s marketplace on
broadcast.com for some time and are committed to continuing to promote our
marketplace through an extended campaign.”


The broadcast.com Web sites offer a selection of programming, including
sports, talk and music radio, television, business events, full-length CDs,
news, video, commentary and full-length audiobooks, serving an average of over
520,000 unique users per day.


Programming includes more than 370 radio stations and networks, 30 television
stations and cable networks, and game broadcasts and other programming for
over 420 college and professional sports teams.
