Athletic and leisure footwear company The Athlete’s Foot launched an e-commerce site as an extension
of its traditional retail stores.

The site provides “live” customer service representatives through real-time
chat capabilities. Select athletic footwear can be viewed as 3-D images. And
products bought online can be exchanged at any of The Athlete’s Foot’s 500
domestic stores.

The online store provides detailed information about athletic footwear,
accessories and apparel, and features select products from the Millennium
2000 (M-2) Series, a collection of high-performance athletic shoes.

The Athlete’s Foot said it plans to integrate e-commerce and traditional
retail marketing initiatives. As part of the launch, the retailer is holding a
sweepstakes for a Nissan Xterra sport utility vehicle.
