Looking to attract millions of new eyeballs to its wedding resource services, New York-based The Knot has struck a deal to shuttle content to the Yahoo! Shopping channel.

The Knot said it would provide specialized content Yahoo! Shopping’s wedding category, including tips and shopping suggestions for weddings.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

The Knot, one of many struggling Silicon Alley dot-coms that saw its stock bumped from the Nasdaq exchange, is specifically planning to include content on wedding fashion from its editor in chief Carley Roney.

Yahoo!’splan is to use wedding-related content from The Knot to convince online shoppers to make purchases from merchant partners within the shopping channel. In addition, the mega portal would provide a link to The Knot’s ‘Wedding Gown Finder’, a searchable database of more than 20,000 images of bridal dresses.
