E-commerce transaction services company CyberSource Corp. said that public
record search firm US SEARCH.com has selected CyberSource to
power its real-time credit card transactions.

Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

US SEARCH provides clients with
access to a broad range of public record information about individuals
available through the Internet, as well as through a 1-800 phone line.

All of the searches are highly automated and are performed by electronically
accessing multiple, geographically dispersed public record databases.

“With CyberSource we were able catch fraudulent transactions before they
became a problem, and we are continuing to minimize our exposure to the
associated charge-backs,” said Bob Richards, vice president of operations at
US SEARCH.com.

CyberSource markets the CyberSource Internet Commerce Suite offering
merchant-controlled, real-time services including payment services, tax
services, risk management
services, distribution control services, and fulfillment management services.
