3Dshopping.com signed a deal by which Yahoo! Inc.
will license its 3Dshopping
System technology, letting merchants display detailed, realistic images of
products and giving consumers a better depiction of items being offered for
sale.

Under the agreement, Yahoo! Shopping will make the 3D
technology available to its merchants later this year. Financial
arrangements were not disclosed.

” the ability to add 3Dshopping.com’s display technology is a significant
differentiator,” said Michael Landau, general merchandise manager of Yahoo!
Shopping. “With the use of 3D rotation and virtual motion, we are able to
offer our merchants a more realistic presentation of their products and
selling features.”

The 3Dshopping System content is created through digital photography and
proprietary programming techniques that, together, produce a fluid,
full-range rotational view of selected products. It does not require special
software or plug-ins.

“The effort 3Dshopping.com has put forth to establish the viability, quality,
speed and consistency of its core technology is validated by this
relationship with Yahoo!,” said Terry Gourley, chief executive officer of
3Dshopping.com.

The company operates its own online shopping mall where
its technology can be seen in action.
