Jersey City, NJ-based online retailer CyberShop International Inc. entered
into a merchant agreement as well as an advertising and marketing pact with
Yahoo! Inc.
The new agreements allow Yahoo!’s users to access CyberShop’s assortment of
brand-name products within Yahoo! Shopping, where consumers can shop
with more than 4,000 merchants in one Web location.
In addition, CyberShop’s product selection will be prominently featured on the
Yahoo! Shopping home page, throughout various areas of Yahoo! Shopping, and on
related search results pages. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
“Yahoo! is a powerful
distribution platform,” said Jeff Tauber, CyberShop chairman and CEO. “They
have the ability to introduce innovative merchants
and services and to attract an enormous number of users. We believe that our
positioning in Yahoo! Shopping will help grow our sales and build our brand.”
In addition to the newest online commerce offering at Yahoo! Shopping,
CyberShop can be found at www.cybershop.com and on America Online’s
shopping channel or by using keyword ‘cybershop.’ It also operates egift and electronics.net, CyberShop’s joint
venture with Tops Appliance City.
