CyberShop Inks E-Tail Deal With Infoseek

CyberShop International, Inc. will
become a featured merchant on GO Network’s
GO Shop shopping service, the companies announced Friday.

The agreement calls for Cybershop to prominently display items from its
main Web site on the GO Shop homepage, and also on the Apparel & Jewelry
department page and on
related search results pages. Financial terms of the arrangement were not
disclosed.

The agreement provides access for GO Network users to CyberShop’s designer
and brand name product in various categories. Substantial discounts of up
to 80 percent off original prices are also available, as well as
auctions, daily and weekly features, and promotional offerings.

“GO Network provides merchants like CyberShop the opportunity to market to
more than 23 million users
in a surprisingly integrated environment, so shoppers are already thinking
in terms of specific buying
categories,” said B.D. Goel, vice president and general
manager of commerce for Infoseek. “By also providing dynamic merchandising
tools, GO Network and CyberShop can work together to create a compelling
Internet shopping experience.”

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of other recent arrangements,
including Cybershop’s partnership with Amazon.com. The company said its
merchandising strategy aims to target outlet store and off-price categories
and make its foray into the online auction arena. Cybershop also has
partnerships with AOL, Excite, Yahoo! and Microsoft.

Cybershop features merchandise such as housewares, electronics, toys,
luggage, home office, jewelry and watches. Product brand names include
August Silk, BCBG, Bisou Bisou, Braun, Calvin Klein, Carole Little,
Cartier, Cusinart, Dansk, DeLonghi, DKNY, Dolce and Gabbana, Elizabeth,
Fendi, Fila, Fubu, Jones NY, Krups, Laundry, Liz Claiborne, Movado, Polo
Ralph Lauren, Pooh, Sharp, Tag Heuer, Versace, and XOXO.

“Securing this key area will help to position us as the premier place to
shop for ‘great deals on great
brands’,” said Jeff Tauber, CyberShop chairman and CEO. “We’re thrilled to
continue to extend our reach
through GO Network’s powerful distribution platform. This marks the ninth
significant agreement we’ve
forged in the last year.”
