Zona Hires Chief Economist

Zona Research Inc.
said that Robert Jack Staff, a Harvard-educated financial economist will join
Zona Research as chief economist.


Staff, a specialist in international financial economics and technology
analysis, will be responsible for overseeing Zona’s Electronic Economy
Service and will be a
senior consultant for Zona’s Internet consulting practice, designed for the
producers, consumers, and investors of Internet products and services, the
company said.


Formerly, Staff was chief of a strategic analyst group of a
$2-billion-a-year Asia-Pacific enterprise, an InterPacific Fellow at
Harvard’s Kennedy School, and a member of the Senior Negotiations Project at
Harvard Law School.


“Staff will play an important role in expanding Zona’s consulting practice and
will add a strategic international perspective to our Electronic Economy
Service through
his knowledge and understanding of economic and technology trends,” said Clay
Ryder, chief analyst at Zona Research, which provides information and advice
to the Internet industry. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of
IntelliQuest Information
Group Inc.
