HP Promoting Private Clouds With CloudStart

  • For all the exuberance about the benefits of cloud computing, the logistical transition can be a real headache for businesses, often entailing unforeseen costs and delays.

    With its new CloudStart product, HP is looking to ease the process, offering businesses a portfolio of software, hardware and consulting services that promises to set up a private cloud within 30 days. Datamation takes a look.


    While there is a lot of interest in cloud computing for its potential cost savings and more flexible IT infrastructure advantages, enterprises don’t necessarily know how transitioning to the cloud will cost and how long it could take.

    On Monday, HP (NYSE: HPQ) announced CloudStart, a package of products and services designed to address those concerns by simplifying private cloud deployments.
