Microsoft Touts SharePoint, Office Ties

Office 2010 has quite a bit of power, but you will need much more than just Office to see its true potential. Its tight integration with products like Windows Server 2008, SharePoint Services, Exchange, SQL Azure and Communicator are all there for the using, if you are willing to spring for all that software and some fairly decent server-side hardware to run it all. Microsoft Office 2010 arrived in retail stores Tuesday, and Microsoft hosted an all-day event at its Silicon Valley campus to show off the new software to IT workers.

The verdict? The demos look slick, but the software/hardware package can get pricey.
