Auspex Systems Joins Citrix Business Alliance

Auspex Systems, Inc., a provider of enterprise storage solutions, has become a charter member of Citrix Systems’ Citrix Business Alliance (CBA). As a CBA member, Auspex said it will work with Citrix to ensure compatibility of its NS3000 series of Network Attached Storage (NAS) network servers with Citrix’s server-based computing environment.

“The addition of Auspex to the CBA strengthens our strategy of offering customers the widest possible array of technologies that support a server-based computing environment,” said Garry Olah, director, worldwide channel/partner management, development and partner events for Citrix. “By working together, we can meet customer demands for new ways to reduce TCO through centralized management.”

The company said use of its Auspex NS3000 servers for data consolidation can simplify the infrastructure and therefore cut the administrative costs associated with a Citrix implementation. According to Auspex, UNIX and Windows data and applications, database files, current and archived e-mail, Web pages and other content can be merged onto one or more Auspex servers, eliminating the need to manage dedicated storage pools for each form of content.

According to Citrix, the Citrix Business Alliance (CBA) is a coalition of companies from across the technology spectrum that are working with Citrix solutions to broaden the scope and effectiveness of server-based enterprise computing solutions. The program provides members with access to Citrix products for compatibility testing with Citrix MetaFrame application server software, new business opportunities with other Citrix solution providers, access to joint marketing programs and enhanced technical support.
