Chinese Company to Incorporate Adaptec Products In Servers

Adaptec, Inc. today announced that Legend Holdings Limited (“Legend”), an IT company in China, will incorporate Adaptec’s SCSI and RAID solutions in its PC servers. Adaptec will also provide technical training and dedicated technical support to Legend, as well as continued technology updates from its compatibility testing labs.


“By joining with Adaptec, a leading RAID and SCSI provider in China, we will be able to accelerate the technology exchange and technical expertise between the companies,” said Ouyang Xiang Yu, assistant president and general manager of Legend’s server network business. “This agreement will allow Legend to market solutions that provide Chinese customers with industry-leading levels of compatibility, reliability, affordability and technical expertise.”

“Combining Legend’s strong customer relationships and market share position with Adaptec’s renowned RAID and SCSI technology make for a premier solution in this growing market,” stated Lee Caswell, vice president and general manager of Adaptec’s Storage Solutions Group. “We’re excited about this combination and we believe that the two companies working together will quickly bring new RAID and SCSI innovations to the vast China market.”
