Dell and Avanade Inc., an integrator for Microsoft solutions in the enterprise, today announced a partnership to deliver consulting services for the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000 Datacenter Server operating system.
Dell said the new relationship augments its portfolio of consulting services available for Microsoft enterprise server products. The company has named Avanade as a preferred consulting provider for Dell customers implementing Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter on PowerEdge(TM) 8450 servers.
According to Dell, this enhances its existing Windows 2000 Datacenter program, which combines Microsoft’s operating system and Dell’s enterprise-class PowerEdge 8450 Servers and PowerVault(TM) Storage, consulting, installation, and Premier Enterprise Support services.
“Dell customers will benefit from Avanade’s expertise in designing, building and deploying highly available and reliable enterprise solutions on the Microsoft platform,” said Gary Cotshott, vice president, Dell Services. “This important relationship, combined with Dell’s PowerEdge(TM) Servers and Premier Enterprise Services initiatives, enhances our ability to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers implementing mission-critical enterprise applications.”
“We’re excited that Avanade and Dell are aligning their goals and strategies to meet growing demand for mission-critical business solutions based on the Microsoft platform,” said Charles Stevens, vice president of the Enterprise and Partner Group at Microsoft. “The synergy of these partners will help customers in many global locations quickly deploy and realize great business agility from solutions based on the latest Microsoft technologies.”
