Dot Hill and Capita Partner

May 31, 2001

Storage area network (SAN) solutions provider Dot Hill Systems Corp. today announced an alliance with Capita Technologies Inc.(TM) whereby Capita Technologies will offer SANnet systems and professional services to its customers in the Mid Atlantic region, particularly federal government agencies.

“Capita Technologies is excited to work with Dot Hill to provide end-to-end solutions for complex systems. Capita’s knowledge of enterprise backup systems, storage area networking and terabyte storage systems makes us a strong asset for Dot Hill. This partnership will enable customers to engage one cohesive team to provide a complete solution that integrates into their enterprise,” said Bob Reese, vice president, systems integration, Capita Technologies Inc.

Capita says it selected Dot Hill’s SANnet storage system for its SAN-readiness as well as its 99.9998 percent uptime and independent certification of NEBS Level 3 carrier-class standards, which ensure operation in extreme environmental conditions. SANnet, the companies claim, has been rigorously tested to withstand lightning strikes, airborne contaminants and earthquakes up to 8.3 on the Richter scale. The rugged architecture, high availability and survivability are particularly important to the federal government’s secure community.
