The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a leading metropolitan newspaper, has deployed Dot Hill Systems’ SANnet(R) storage systems to store the newspaper’s extensive databases. SANnet systems are also being used for Web-related projects such as the paper’s career and job listing site.
“Our journalists and 1.4 million readers require continuous access to the latest information stored in our growing databases. We selected Dot Hill’s SANnet Fibre Channel storage systems for three key reasons — performance, price and reliability — and the NEBS Level 3 certification is a nice touch,” said Frank Branham, network administrator for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Dot Hill’s SANpath storage networking software and SANnet Alert monitoring system help ensure maximum accessibility for our end users.”
Dot Hill said its SANnet solutions include storage area networks, NEBS Level 3 certified systems for Telco and Internet operations, and extensive service capabilities. In additon, the company said its Axis Storage Manager family of products provides mirroring, remote replication and disaster recovery options for mission-critical applications.
