Hitachi Becomes Investor in DataCore Software

DataCore Software Corporation today disclosed that Hitachi Ltd. participated as a strategic investor in its recently announced round of financing. The Intel Communications Fund also provided a follow-on investment.


“Virtualization is one of the key technologies for enriching storage solution infrastructure and DataCore is the leading technology provider in this arena. We are very pleased to be able to invest into this promising company. Hitachi is pursuing possible opportunities for enhancing Hitachi’s total storage solution for our customers,” said Mr. Ikuo Kimura, chief operating officer and general manager, Storage Solution Division of Hitachi, Ltd.


DataCore said it has earmarked the latest financing to help expand its collaboration with major OEMs and resellers in North America, Europe and Asia. Enhancing support for these business partners and their enterprise accounts opens up worldwide opportunity for ‘Powered by DataCore’ solutions.
