Intersil Corporation, a provider of power management solutions for PCs, file servers and portable information appliances, this week announced the new Endura(TM) ISL6115 and ISL6116 hot plug/swap power controllers.

The company said the new controllers are designed to provide economical and reliable power control for power distribution applications including high-end servers and storage systems.

“Mission critical applications such as servers and storage systems require careful power control and hot plug capability to avoid costly down time and loss of use,” said Rick Furtney, vice president and general manager of Intersil’s Analog Business Unit. “The ISL6115 and ISL6116 single rail power distribution controllers have the full complement of features needed for critical applications, including over-current fault isolation, adjustable turn-on ramp, and under-voltage monitoring and notification.”

The ISL6115 and ISL6116 are available now.
