Legato Systems, Inc., a provider of enterprise storage management software, today announced a new Global Partner Program for current and prospective resellers.

To support the Global Partner Program, Legato said it has modified the organizational structure of its sales, operations, and partner management teams. A new team, Legato Worldwide Channel Operations, is responsible for defining and implementing channel partner programs throughout all sales areas. The Legato Territory Sales organization has been restructured to support the daily selling activities of Legato’s resellers.

“We’ve restructured our partner program to help our resellers make their businesses more successful and profitable,” said Rob Simonds, vice president, worldwide channel operations, Legato Systems. “Legato’s new Global Partner Program is based on three key principles: superior technology, comprehensive support programs, and greater overall benefits to the reseller for working with Legato.”

Legato also said it will work closely with resellers on co-marketing programs and training personnel to successfully sell, implement and support customer opportunities. As the level of partner commitment increases, it plans to reward partners with greater discounts and more extensive marketing and sales support.
