Legato Systems, Inc. , a provider of enterprise storage management software, announced today that Legato NetWorker software and complementary NetWorker Modules will be shipped with selected IBM TotalStorage Ultrium LTO Tape Libraries and DB2 Universal Database (UDB). The bundles are available through IBM and Legato channel distributors.

Legato said NetWorker simplifies, centralizes, and automates backup and recovery operations across Unix, Windows, Linux and NetWare platforms, giving IBM Ultrium LTO and DB2 customers using Legato’s NetWorker access to the data protection capabilities and management consistency needed most by heterogeneous enterprises in DAS, NAS, and SAN storage environments.
