Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) company JNI(R) Corporation today announced its entire line of host bus adapters (HBAs) is now certified for use with LSI Logic Corporation’s MetaStor(R) E-Series RAID storage systems.
According to the companies, JNI’s Emerald(TM)-based FCE-1063 single-port and FCE-1063 dual-port Sbus-to-Fibre Channel, and FCE-6410 single-port and FCE2-6410/FCE-6412 dual-port PCI-to-Fibre Channel HBAs are now certified. These Emerald-based HBAs, which feature JNI’s proprietary Emerald ASIC controllers, join JNI’s Tachyon-based HBAs, the FC64-1063 SBus-to-Fibre Channel and FCI-1063 PCI-to-Fibre Channel, as LSI “Certified Compatible.”
JNI HBAs are also supported by LSI’s newly released SANtricity(TM) 7.10 software, offered on the MetaStor family of enterprise storage solutions from LSI Logic Storage Systems. The MetaStor family of products are scalable from 35 GB to 16 TB. LSI’s storage area network (SAN) management software, SANtricity(TM) 7.10, offers support for all major operating systems
