Maxtor Expands Technical Support for NAS Servers


Maxtor Corporation today announced what it said is a comprehensive range of service and support offerings for the MaxAttach(TM) family of storage servers. Service offerings include on-site field service within the United States and lifetime 24 x 7 telephone technical support worldwide on the MaxAttach NAS 4100, 4300 and 6000 storage servers.

“Our new on-site service and support combined with the MaxAttach’s robust platform design extend our storage system offerings into the enterprise market,” said Eric Kelly, president of Maxtor’s Network Systems Group. “We are committed to meeting our customers’ nationwide support needs for executing mission critical applications on MaxAttach storage servers.”

The recently announced MaxAttach NAS 6000 includes one-year, next business day, on-site field service as a standard feature and is extendable to three years. Field service contracts are also now available for the MaxAttach NAS 4100 and 4300 for both new and existing customers.

Premium field service upgrades for the MaxAttach NAS 4100, 4300 and 6000 include four-hour response time, extended service contracts and installation service.
Availability

Service and support programs for the MaxAttach 4100 and 4300 are currently available in the United States from Bell Microproducts, Ingram Micro and Tech Data. MaxAttach NAS 6000 service and support agreements are available from Ingram Micro.

For customers in Canada and selected areas in Asia, Europe and Latin America, service and support programs are planned for MaxAttach systems beginning in Q1 2002.
