Aug 10, 2001

McDATA(R) Corporation today announced it is partnering with Hewlett-Packard Company and CNT in a storage area network (SAN) seminar series titled “SAN is a Reality” that runs through October.

Accordingly, representatives from McDATA, HP and CNT will discuss the current state of SAN solutions and storage networking technology and give real-life examples of SAN implementations, including the costs and realized benefits. The companies also say that attendees will also learn how an open standards-based SAN solution can dramatically increase manageability and scalability, as well as provide the business continuance and disaster recovery businesses require.

The seminar series began in the Pacific Northwest (Portland, Ore. and Seattle, Aug. 7-8) and will continue at the following venues: Greensboro, N.C., Aug. 30; Detroit, Sept. 11; Little Rock, Ark., Oct. 2; Springdale, Ark., Oct. 3; Tulsa, Okla., Oct. 4; and Cupertino, Calif., Oct. 11.
