Quest Software Annoucnes Storage Management Product

Oct 8, 2001

Quest Software, Inc. , a provider of application management solutions, today announced the release of StorageXpert(TM).

According to the company, this suite provides a complete view of an application by collecting and correlating performance metrics for all of its components. The addition of StorageXpert broadens Quest’s performance management suite by addressing the storage component of an application’s performance. StorageXpert collects Input/Output (I/O) performance metrics at the storage device level and relates that information back to the application.

Quest said StorageXpert provides a single view exposing the relationship between database requests and the storage devices servicing those requests, enabling database administrators, developers, and system administrators to isolate the root cause of I/O related problems.

StorageXpert is available now, with pricing starting at $2,400 per server.
