Emulex Corp., a supplier of storage networking host bus adapters (HBAs), this week announced that sanrise(TM), a managed enterprise storage solutions vendor, has selected the Emulex LightPulse LP8000 Fibre Channel HBAs as the primary connectivity product for storagecel(TM), its turn-key storage solution.
“Integrating Emulex HBAs into our storagecel delivery vehicle solves the growing needs of our enterprise customers for continuous data availability with advanced storage solutions to protect mission critical data,” said Lakshman Narayanswamy, chief technology officer, sanrise. “Our decision to use Emulex’s technology in our storage solution is consistent with our strategy to offer customers best-of-breed hardware and software.”
The storagecel is sanrise’s turn-key SAN solution that it says incorporates holistic support for both primary storage and backup/restore capabilities in a heterogeneous environment.
