Emulex Corp., a supplier of storage networking host bus adapters (HBAs), announced that Computer Associates International (CA) has integrated the Emulex LightPulse LP8000 Fibre Channel HBAs to provide the storage networking connectivity within seven of CA’s new Virtual eBusiness Centers.

The CA storage area network (SAN) architecture is set to open throughout the United States this month.

“CA’s newly expanded Virtual eBusiness Centers offer corporate customers a unique forum for experiencing best-of-breed eBusiness management,” said Lisa Cummins, director of North American Virtual eBusiness Centers for Computer Associates. “Emulex host bus adapters are a valuable addition to the high availability storage architectures we are showcasing in multi-operating system environments.”

“Computer Associates’ selection of Emulex HBAs for its Virtual eBusiness Centers reinforces the two companies’ dedication to providing highly robust and reliable storage networking solutions,” said Kirk Roller, chief operating officer of Emulex. “CA’s SAN implementation is designed to provide customers with a flexible and scalable management application, which is critical to the success of enterprise data centers.”
