McDATA Corporation announced the expandsion of its market in North America with the opening of a sales office in Ontario, Canada. McDATA’s new sales office joins an engineering site, which is also located in Toronto.
“While McDATA has had a considerable engineering and development presence in Canada for several years, this investment in a sales office reflects the demands of the market to have direct presence from the market leader in world class storage networking products,” said Mike Gustafson, vice president of worldwide sales for McDATA. “This expanded presence in Toronto will allow us to strengthen the partnerships we have with our customers, OEM resellers and further extend our reach into the Canadian SAN market. McDATA will continue to provide customers with the flexibility and value they need to mitigate the risk of their storage networking technology while taking full advantage of their investment.”
McDATA said its full family of enterprise products is available in Canada through the company’s alliances with EMC, IBM, Compaq, Hitachi Data Systems and Hewlett-Packard Company, as well as its authorized distributors Consan and Moca (both divisions of Gates Arrow) and authorized Elite Partners.
