Switch and Data, acarrier-neutral colocation provider, today announced an agreement to offer managed storage solutions throughout Switch and Data’s nationwide footprint. The strategic alliance calls for immediate offering of Storage Access’ hosted storage products in key metro markets throughout the U.S.
According to the companies, this agreement enables the delivery of one of the highest growth IT products – outsourced managed storage – to Switch and Data’s transmission-based network service provider customers. By expanding the reach of Storage Access throughout Switch and Data’s footprint, the alliance enables immediate availability of advanced network storage at key fiber-optic interconnection points in major metro markets.

Switch and Data provides carrier-class facilities including technical support and value-added services to service providers who require access to local, regional and global fiber-optic networks. With this agreement, Switch and Data will now offer Storage Access’ suite of data management services and will manage the high-speed connections between numerous fiber-optic networks and Storage Access.
