Hewlett-Packard Plunges Deeper into the e-Services Game

Hewlett-Packard yesterday released new e-services and products focusing on the technology needs of SMB customers in conjunction with its strategic partners.

According to
Hewlett-Packard , its SMB initiative offers e-services and products built around simplicity, integration, customer choice and personalization for growing businesses.

“Duncan Campbell, worldwide general manager, HP business PC services, said, “Growing, independent businesses want to harness PC and Web innovations, but they don’t have the bandwidth to devote full attention to these technologies.”

This has resulted in these businesses looking to HP to take on a supplier and advisor role.

HP will take advantage of vJungle’s OpenEX platform that can support extremely tight integration among third party e-services.

“We chose vJungle’s Open EX platform as the foundation for the e-services on HP’s Business Customer Center because, like HP, vJungle is committed to delivering powerful e-services that offer a simple, personalized user experience,” Mike Weir, general manager, marketing, said.

The HP and vJungle co-branded e-services include the following front and back-office features: personalized e-mail, employee profile, data synchronization, knowledge center, bookkeeping, calendar and contact list.

HP e-services are available at the HP Business Customer Center, which introduces several new e-services geared to SMBs.

In addition to its partnership with vJungle, HP will also be working with some of its other strategic partners.

This includes HP IT manager, HP e-center, Trellix Web tools and exclusive HP-brokered e-services at special discounts.
