Purchase, N.Y.-based ASP Interliant Inc. Wednesday launched INIT Report, a Web-based reporting tool that allows customers to access performance measures for their hosted IT infrastructure.
Based upon network and server management solutions from Greenbelt, Md.-based MSP MightyView, INIT Report provides information to end users, managers and network administrators in real time. The solutions work from inside or outside the data center, and can be customized to provide information that is most relevant to the user’s job function.
INIT Report helps users detect performance problems, respond quickly and work proactively to prevent future slowdowns or outages. Accurate metrics can also offer business executives data to make important decisions regarding the adequacy and performance of their hosted systems.

The INIT Report Basic Service monitors and reports on Web sites from a customer’s perspective. The monitoring of HTTP and HTTPS is done from multiple entry points across the Internet in order to monitor the delivery of Web-based content. Performance information is stored in a secure Web-based database. If performance exceeds acceptable thresholds, alerts are generated and the alert management system allows the user to pinpoint the specific problem and problem location.
INIT Report Standard also tracks the availability of a Web site. This information is stored in the same database as the performance data for easy access. If Web service should fail, Interliant’s Root Cause Analysis system allows the user to specifically isolate where the problem originates. The root cause analysis service encompasses the Web server, network and DNS.
The INIT Report Enterprise Service includes all of the features of the Basic service plus server performance and availability management services. Users can manage the internal performance and health of the servers on which the Web site or Web application resides. The services offered with INIT Report Enterprise integrate fully with the basic services adding additional layers and sophistication to our Root Cause Analysis services.
