Netgenie Upgrades E-Mail Service

Internet service provider netgenie Online Thursday announced it has upgraded its free Web-based e-mail service.

New features include a contact center that integrates an e-mail address book with contact management software, allowing users to page contacts via e-mail. Other enhancements include new mail alerts and the option of sending e-mail headers to devices such as digital mobile phones and pagers.

Users can also check their netgenie e-mail accounts from other e-mail accounts that user may have. The program also filters spam and offers an automatic vacation reply feature.

netgenie Online provides Internet access to users in more than 600 U.S. cities for a one-time registration fee of $99.95.
