NetSat Express Sets Up Satellite-Based ISP Services

Satellite service provider NetSat
Express, Inc.
this week introduced its new service bundle designed to
make it easier for ISPs to offer satellite-based Internet worldwide.

Marni Ehrlich, NetSat Express chief executive officer, said its Impact ISP
program allows access providers with the infrastructure necessary to offer
a complete Internet experience to their customers.

“Providers utilizing the Impact ISP package will now be able to quickly and
efficiently go into business with a complete ISP infrastructure,” Ehrlich
said.

NetSat’s Impact ISP program
provides a comprehensive provisioning system for ISPs and business
customers. The program includes e-mail access and Web hosting services, as
well as the ability to support dial-up and dedicated access.

NetSat Express recently formed strategic partnerships with IBM, Corp. and Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) to enable its turnkey satellite-based hardware solutions for the ISP service package.

Ehrlich said that the partnerships were pivotal in its effort to gain
recognition among industry players.

“Through our partnerships with Cisco Systems and IBM, NetSat Express has
been able to strengthen its position in the ISP marketplace,” Ehrlich said.
“With Impact ISP, our Access Plus connectivity suite, and our new global
hosting capabilities, NetSat Express is enabling start-up and growing ISPs
to bring the Internet to the world anywhere, anytime.”

Marty Slatnick, IBM (IBM)
e-business program director of business development, said the partnership provides NetSat Express with an integrated portfolio of service offerings to support its ISP programs.

“The strategic relationship creates the capability for delivering the
infrastructure and access to the Internet to emerging regions of the
world,” Slatnick said.

NetSat Express subsidiary of Globecomm Systems Inc. (GCOM), which provides end-to-end satellite-based communications services and satellite ground systems network management.
