A lot of people likely think of WordPress as an open source blogging platform.

With the new WordPress 3.1 release, that’s not a precise description anymore as the platform is now really quite a fully featured Content Management System (CMS).

WordPress 3.1 includes new Network administration feature and delves into territory and only big CMS systems once provided with advanced taxonomy capabilities (yeaah I know Drupal 7 does this too…). You can now also have more control for custom content types and custom fields as well.
