DataChannel Tuesday announced its “Show Me the XML!” contest to recognize XML developers who are already using XML within their organization.
The “Show Me the XML!” contest is designed to enable developers to show off the XML implementations that are based on the XML Java Parser, beta 2 (XJ2), which was co-developed by Microsoft and DataChannel. The contest runs through March 5, with winners to be announced at X-Tech ’99 in San Jose on March 9.
Since its release in December, more than 5,000 developers have downloaded the XJ2 Parser. XML is emerging as the standard for business transactions in legacy system environments. The process of moving legacy data across dissimilar systems requires the use of adapters to make such transactions possible. DataChannel feels that “the time has come to showcase these possibilities to make them a reality.”
DataChannel will select “Show Me the XML!” contest winners for:
- Most Creative XML solution
- Most Useful XML solution
- “Sexiest” XSL stylesheet
