SoftQuad Software Ltd. this week launched its XMetaL Quick Start Program. XMetaL Quick Start
enables companies to prototype, pilot or deploy an “XMetaL content creation
solution” for XML-based publishing, e-commerce and knowledge management
applications.

The XMetaL Quick Start Program is customized for each organization’s needs,
and can be utilized to enhance existing content applications as well as
develop new applications from scratch. SoftQuad and the client have an
initial consultation, and then SoftQuad designs a customized program,
including XMetaL user licenses and consultation services focused on the
specific areas that will get the application off the drawing board and onto
the Web.

Each XMetaL Quick Start package includes one or more services, including:

  • Development of a Requirements Document
  • Information Analysis and DTD creation
  • XMetaL Performance Tuning
  • Advanced XMetaL Customization and Application Development
  • Integration with Backend Systems
  • On-site XMetaL Training

The XMetaL Quick Start Program sells for a retail price of $10,000. XMetaL

is an

advanced XML authoring solution that delivers unprecedented ease of

use to authors, while shielding them from the complexities of XML.

The

tool uses a familiar word processor-like environment that makes XMetaL a

deployable solution used to reduce typical training and implementation

costs.
